Charming historical vibes fill the air at L'Académie Hôtel. My room felt modern yet cozy, equipped with a tv and even an espresso machine. The decor blended beautifully with the building's history. Super convenient location near Old Lyon made wandering to cafes and shops easy. The staff, especially Vasselina at the front desk, stood out with their attentiveness. She offered great local tips. One downside was the breakfast area, quite small and uninviting, which limited comfort during mealtimes. I faced minor annoyances with the coffee service too. Charging for a simple cup felt off. My family room was spacious, but navigating between rooms and furniture was a bit tricky given the layout. A fridge in the room would have added a nice touch. Still, I would gladly return due to its charm and easy access to local culture.

In the heart of the city, very convenient. Close enough to a pedestrian street of the old town as well as many delicious restaurants. Updated and great room with a great shower, marvellous location from a next door restaurant. Lots of excellent food for meals...

Particularly good and wonderful location steps away from Slipstream Sculpture. Had double room with a great shower, large bathroom plus a bedside table. Had welcoming service.

Had a fantastic group trip to this hotel! We enjoyed exploring the charming streets and visited the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière and Parc de la Tête d'Or nearby. Overpriced for a light spread with limited options, leaving a bit to be desired. The room size can really cramp up when two people try to navigate with luggage, and the lack of a refrigerator is noticeable for longer stays. Plus, the courtyard view rooms suffer from a privacy issue when curtains are opened, which could use some improvement.
